<p>The invention relates to an electric lock. According to the invention, the bolt (3) is controlled by the rotation of a control element (7) which is pivoted by moving the rod (5) of an electromagnet (4). The inventive lock is characterised in that a means for pivoting the aforementioned control element independently of the position of the rod is disposed between said control element and said rod (5). The rod of the electromagnet is directly connected to one of the standard arms of the control element by means of an elastically-deformable member which lengthens when it is subjected to a force greater than that normally required to rotate the control element (7) and move the bolt.
