A waste disposal device comprises a stirring arrangement having two stirring axles in each cylindrical sink region with T-shaped stirring rods arranged on them. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) a substrate for biological material used in the device comprising a mixture of sawdust and ground natural stone having a grain size of less than 0.1 mm; and (ii) operating the waste disposal device comprising maintaining a temperature of 40-50 deg C in the material to be disposed of and a moist atmosphere by optionally adding water during cooling of the air in a partial region to remove condensing water. Preferred Features: The waste air is filtered in an activated charcoal filter.
