The bus system device is addressable using at least one group address and has a decoder (11) for converting a received group address into a decimal group address, whereby the decoder sets a bit for the decimal group address in a decoder word, a register (13), in which the permitted group addresses are stored as a register word and a logic circuit (12,18) for comparing the decoder word with the register word.
