Drive mechanism attached to fodder mixing vehicle using signals to match rotation rate to gear switching mechanism

The apparatus is used with a fodder mixer whose mixing drum has at least one horizontal or vertical mixer worm mechanism. This is driven by a gear and the drive shaft from a towing vehicle. A measuring device (13) measures the drive torque of the mixer during mixing. The measured parameter is supplied to a control device (15). This provides rotation rate adaptation signals to the switching mechanism (14) of the gear.
