The railway track cover comprises panels or grids (16) mounted on either side of and between the rails (4). These are mounted on U-profiled supports (17) attached to base plates (9) which fit under the rails. The base plates are held in position by L-profiles with one limb which fits over the rail foot (15) and one which fits into a groove in the plate.
