<p>The present invention relates to a topical cosmetic composition with an aqueous continuous phase, in the form of a lotion, cream or gel, comprising: i) from 0.01% to 25%, by weight, of an organic particulate material having a median particle size of from 0.5 to 30 mm; ii) greater than 8%, by weight, of a humectant selected from glycerine, polyalkylene glycol, urea, D or DL panthenol, hexane-1, 2, 6- triol, guanidine or its derivatives, alkylene glycols such as butylene glycol and propylene glycol, and mixtures thereof; iii) from 2% to 20%, by weight, organic sunscreen.for providing highly efficacious levels of moisturisation and UV protection while maintaining optimum skin feel. Preferred embodiments are oil in water emulsions wherein the particulate material has been pre-dispersed within an organosiloxane oil to provide for desired non tacky skin feel.</p> |
