PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a feed for increasing the rate of infecting a large quantity of silkworms with recombinant virus, and to provide a method for simultaneously and orally inoculating the large quantity of silkworms with the recombinant virus. SOLUTION: This method for producing the feed for increasing the rate of infecting silkworms with the recombinant virus comprises the steps of mixing an artificial powdery feed with distilled water in which Tinopal UNPA-GX (R) is dissolved so as to be 0.2-0.4 wt.% in its final concentration in the feed, followed by agitation and mashing, putting the resultant mixture into a heat- resistant plastic bag, and heating the bag packed with the mixture in an autoclave. The other objective method for simultaneously and orally inoculating a large quantity of silkworms under rearing on a silkworm bed with the recombinant virus comprises the steps of administering the silkworms of 5th instar with the feed thus produced, and 20-24 h after the administration, placing the bed with a net put with a feed coated with a recombinant virus liquid to administer the silkworms with the feed coated with the recombinant virus liquid. |
