A multi-part base for a vacuum cleaner nozzle, includes main base 1 with suction inlet 6 and suction channel 3 bounded by suction mouth edges 4 and 5. Mounted within a recess in the base is plastic insert 2, which is shaped to form a suction active flow edge 7 along one side of the suction inlet. An alternative embodiment is disclosed wherein the insert includes two flow edges and a suction inlet part, the insert being mounted within the suction channel 6 of the main base. |
