PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts, and increase the workability for the assembly by providing a function which can display an irregular message on a drum type display device in advance. SOLUTION: Unused sections of first and second subsidiary drums 308 and 310 when the first and second subsidiary drums 308 and 310 are used only for making movable members 336 and 338 appear/disappear are utilized, and message boards 366 and 368 are provided on the first and second subsidiary drums 308 and 310. Then, the first and second subsidiary drums 308 and 310 are rotated at 180 deg. when required, separately from a normal 90 deg. rotation. Thus, an error message at the time of a failure of the game machine is quickly arranged in a manner to be visible by a game player. Therefore, a new provision of a display mechanism in order to display the error message is not required, and the number of parts can be reduced. Also, the function is added to a normal drum displaying device 124, and the working manhours do not increase, and the assembling workability can be increased.
