PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct row seedlings transferred to a transversely installed conveyor to a prescribed position according to design, nip the tip required length of the respec tive seedlings exactly to the setting with a rotation planting tool and transplant the respective seedlings in a position according to a prescribed planting depth even when a field is formed into a slope. SOLUTION: This device for correcting a transfer position of row seedlings P1 is designed to transfer and transport the row seedlings P1 on a transversely installed conveyor D, receive, nip and transport the respective seedlings P separated from the row seedlings P1 at a required interval with a vertically installed conveyor E on the downstream side of the transversely installed conveyor D, further receive, nip and transport the respective seedlings P on the downstream side of the vertically installed conveyor E with the rotation planting tool F, drop the seedlings into a ridge furrow, simultaneously carry out ridging with compacting wheels J and transplant the seedlings P. In the transplanter, a correcting member (a) is installed in a position opposite to the row seedlings P1 transferred to the transversely installed conveyor D so as to enable free advance and retreat. The transfer position of the row seedlings P1 is corrected to a prescribed position of the transversely installed conveyor D by pushing and moving the row seedlings P1 with the correcting member (a).
