PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling a decking point of an engine are provided to improve the efficiency of an assembling operation of a chassis and an engine and the safety of operating processes by automatically controlling the access of a carrier and the decking point of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A data server(10) stores individual production plan data by connecting with an upper processor. A carrier accessing device(20) indicates the access operation of a carrier by reading the individual production plan data. A PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)(40) controls a carrier pointer for withdrawing the carrier loading an engine and setting a decking point of the engine in an assembling line. A relay(30) connects the data server, the carrier accessing device and the PLC through a network. A GP panel(60) displays withdrawing sequence information of the carriers from the PLC and changes the withdrawing sequence information of the carriers by a user's selection. A first sensor(A) transmits the withdrawing of the carrier to the PLC. A second sensor(B) decides the decking point of the engine. Thereby, the efficiency and the reliability of an operating process are improved.
