DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the luminance of a display screen without disrupting white balance. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a plurality of organic EL (electroluminescence) elements 16 constituting the display screen, driving transistors 17 supplying respectively driving currents to the plurality of the organic EL elements 16 between a power source line VP and a GND (ground). Moreover, the device is provided with a light control switching part 20 which adjusts the luminance of the display screen by changing uniformly ratios of the light emitting time and the non-light emitting time of the plurality of the organic EL elements 16 which switching these driving currents.
