SURGE PROTECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge protector suitable for use in a low-voltage and high-speed communication circuit such as a LAN of which the waveform of a signal does not become dull due to an electrostatic capacity. SOLUTION: Two constant voltage diodes 2 each having a prescribed inhibiting voltage connected to a line L1 with reverse polarities and two surge absorbing circuits S comprises diodes 3 connected in series to both ends of the constant voltage diodes and connected to the line L1 in forward biases. The diodes are connected in parallel for short-conducting a surge of inductive lightning or the like applied to the line, thus absorbing the surge exceeding a prescribed inhibiting voltage applied to the line.
