<p>A surface layer, for instance a metal foil containing strip or a print, is applied onto a hollow profile which is such that it is deformable by a force acting onto the profile and which returns to a shape substantially corresponding to the original shape as soon as the force is removed. The profile is led with a section thereof which is non-planar in the crosswise direction relative the tube extension against a device for applying a suitable layer. This device is arranged for pressing the non-planar section to a substantially planar shape when the profile is passing over the device. The surface layer is applied between the said device and the outside of the section of the profile which has been pressed into a substantially planar shape. Finally, the profile section is brought to return to a shape at least substantially corresponding to the original shape of the profile.</p> |
