PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of dealing with a communication error without lowering transfer efficiency and without increasing the capacity of a buffer memory. SOLUTION: When a receiving error occurs in image data transmitted from a printer controller in an isochronous transfer mode in an (n-1)th cycle, as the received result, data presenting the occurrence of the communication error are transmitted from a printer in the isochronous transfer mode in an n-th cycle. The printer controller receives the received result and transmits the image data, in which the transmitting error occurs, to the printer again in an (n+1)th cycle. Namely, on the basis of the received result of the image data from the printer in the next cycle, image data to be transmitted next to the printer are determined, so that the printer controller can continuously transmit the image data without stopping the printer. |
