PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video photographing recorder, a photographing data classification method, and a storage medium, by which data are automatically grouped on the basis of photographing of an object by a user on the basis of position information, relieving a load of contents management of the user and enhanced working efficiency. SOLUTION: The video photographing recorder 200 includes; an imaging section 208 for photographing a video image; a removable recording section 204 for recording the photographed video image; a position information acquisition section 207 for attaching attached information such as position information, time information, photographer information, and image information to the photographed data; a group information management section 206 for grouping the photographing data on the basis of the attached position information; and a control section 210 for attaching grouping information to a header of the photographing data and recording the resulting data to the removable recording 204 or other recording area of the removable recording 204.
