PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture inspecting device capable of improving the quickness and accuracy of picture inspection. SOLUTION: This picture inspecting device is provided with a contact glass on which a sheet is placed, a cover for pressing the sheet to the contact glass, a picture sensor for imaging the sheet on the contact glass, and an illumination for irradiating the sheet placed on the contact glass from the lower part of the contact glass. Then, the position of a picture to be inspected on the sheet is predetermined by using the position of the shadow of the edge of the sheet to be formed on the cover by the illumination as a reference, and the picture sensor is moved (S1-S8), and after the picture sensor is moved, picture data imaged by the picture sensor are compared with preliminarily preserved reference data for judging the quality so that the quality of the picture to be inspected can be judged (S9-S11). |
