PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a call from a patient or the like in a sickroom when a fault such as power failure occurs. SOLUTION: Digitized video and audio between a nurse center and the patient or the like and a calling signal from the patient or the like are exchanged between a main device 1 and terminals 3a, 3b..., the main device and the terminal are connected by LAN cables L1 and L2 composed of first and second paired lines and LAN cables L3 and L4 composed of third and fourth paired lines, and a down signal and an up signal are respectively reproduced in the terminal. In such a two-way data transmitting system for nurse call in a reproducing and repeating system for transmitting the signals to the next terminal, communication between the main device and the terminal is performed the LAN cables L3 and L4 composed of the third and fourth paired lines.
