<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for communication control capable of controlling consumption power corresponding to a data flow over a network. SOLUTION: A LAN board B is connected as a node to a LAN and has a function to acquire packet data addressed to an own node from the LAN for processing while monitoring a flow of the packet data over the LAN. A CPU 30 of the LAN board B measures elapsed-time in a state that there is no packet data addressed to the own node over the LAN and no packet data to be processed. When the elapsed-time under measuring exceeds a predetermined time, the CPU 30 bring the whole of the LAN board B except of MAC (Media Access Control) controller 34, etc., into an operation waiting state in a saving power operating mode.</p> |
