PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information reporting apparatus and a merchandise information reporting method which enables anybody to obtain merchandise information easily by reporting the information to users in voice. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises an input unit 11 for inputting merchandise identification information allotted to merchandise, a communication unit 12 for transmitting the inputted merchandise identification information to specified parties, and a reporting unit 13 for reporting the merchandise information in voice upon receipt of the merchandise information as voice data for the merchandise identification information. Thus anybody can hear the merchandise information in voice, even if the merchandise information are very hardly seen to recognize for the reason that the information are indicated in small characters, etc.
