PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery of extremely high safety from combustion and excellent cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a nonaqueous solvent-based electrolyte, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains phosphoric ester (I) and cross-linked cyclic hydrocarbon (II) including a C=C unsaturated bond in a ring. As the cross-linked cyclic hydrocarbon including the C=C unsaturated bond in the ring, it is preferable to use anhydrous 5-nobornene-2,3 dicarboxylic acid or anhydrous endo-bicyclo[2.2.2]octo-5 ene-2,3 dicarboxylic acid. In the formula, R1-R3 are each a 1-3C alkyl group, and R4, R5 are each H or a 1-3C alkyl group. |
