PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise carrying-out device for a vending machine, which rapidly releases the lock of a lower pedal and smoothly performing a whole carry-out operation. SOLUTION: The merchandise discharge device 1 is provided with the lower pedal 5 for holding the lowest merchandise, an upper pedal 4 for holding the second lowest merchandise and a link member 19 which is reciprocatively moved by a solenoid 17 to control the opening/closing of the respective pedals 4 and 5. Then the merchandise with the different diameters are carried-out without changing the width of a merchandise passage 10 and carrying-out the merchandise is controlled by alternately projecting the respective pedals 4 and 5. The device also includes a lock release auxiliary member 66 which is connected to a pin 24 so as to be attachable/detachable and rotates a rotary stopper 20 so as to release the lock state of the lower pedal 5 by rotation in response to the movement of the pin 24.
