PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device that can automatically control actual read, write and erase powers to desired values. SOLUTION: The optical disk device acquires a target value of a read power at a write power level so that an error of a read power when a laser diode is stimulated as pulses by a plurality of different write powers is the same as an error of the read power stimulated by a DC, acquires a target value of the write power at pulse stimulation at each write power level so that an error of the light power at pulse stimulation is the same as an error of the write power at DC stimulation, creates a relation between the target value of the write power and the target value of the read power with respect to actual write power and read power at pulse stimulation, and obtains the target value of the read power and the target value of the write power used for actual recording by referring to the relation in desired read and write powers so that the actual read and write powers are automatically controlled to desired values. |
