<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular chip resistor that can be mounted with high density and can reduce a manufacturing cost, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The rectangular chip resistor, where a pair of electrodes 22, 22 are disposed at both ends of a rectangular insulating substrate 21 and a resistive film is disposed between both electrodes, is characterized in that longitudinal both end sides 27, 27 of the rectangular insulating substrate are provided with a semicircular recess of small diameter opening at the front face side, where the resistive film is disposed, and a semicircular recess of large diameter opening at the back face side, and electrodes 24, 25 are disposed in these recesses.</p> |
