PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method wherewith the power consumption of an uninterruptible power supply during starting operation is reduced. SOLUTION: The uninterruptible power supply is designed so that an induction generator-motor having a rotor with flywheel is supplied with power to rotate the flywheel thereof, and in powder interruption, the rotational energy of the flywheel is converted into electrical energy to discharge electric power. The starting operation of the uninterruptible power supply is conducted by supplying a specified driving voltage to the power supply to gradually increase the number of revolutions to the flywheel to a specified number of revolutions. Further, the number of revolutions of the flywheel can be increased gradually to the specified number of revolutions by increasing the frequency, which a voltage-type inverter outputs, to a reference value with a specified gradient. |
