The invention relates to an optical support that is used to position and hold optical fibres having a determined section. The inventive support (1) comprises a first face and a second face (F1, F2) and, for each fibre, a through hole (5). Said hole comprises a first opening (A1) which is disposed on the first face and a second opening (A2) which is disposed on the second face. The first opening is provided with a section (D) which is greater than that of the fibre and the second opening is provided with a section having at least one dimension (d) which is close to one of the dimensions of the section of the fibre. The invention is suitable for use in all fields requiring an optical connection between optical fibres and optical components and, in particular, in the field of optical telecommunications. |
