<p>Engineered surface treatments are applied to different types of hydraulic motors and pumps to improve the life of the contacting surfaces (17, 18) in said motors and pumps. The engineered surface treatments are selected from texture modifications and tribiological coatings and selectively applied to one or both of the contacting surfaces to reduce friction and improve fatigue life under poor lubrication operating conditions.</p> |
