The aircraft seat, located between fixed fore and aft fixed partitions (12, 13), has a supporting structure (5) for the seat base (2) that can be raised and lowered, and a leg rest (4) and back (3) that can be adjusted. In the take-off and landing position the seat is positioned close to the aft partition with its back upright, but during flight the seat base, back and leg rest can be adjusted independently to give a variety of semi- and fully-reclined positions, set by motors and an electronic control box.
