<p>The invention relates to a method of regenerating a particle filter (28) of a combustion engine (12), said engine (12) comprising an air inlet system (14) and an exhaust system (16) which is fitted with a particle filter (28). The aforementioned inlet system (14) comprises means (40, 46) for regulating the air flow rate at the inlet. The engine (12) also comprises means for determining the operating parameters of said engine. The inventive method is characterised in that during each particle filter (28) regeneration phase, and for at least one determined operating point of the engine (12), the air flow rate regulation means (40) are controlled in order to stimulate the combustion of particles trapped in the particle filter.</p> |
