The invention relates to a method of modelling a digital image made up of pixels. Each pixel having co-ordinates i, j is defined using the values of parameters alpha ij, mu 1 and mu 2 which represent histogram Hvij of radiometries over a determined neighbourhood, which is of an identical size for each pixel, in a representation in the form of a mixture: Hvij = alpha ij.G(micro1ij, L) + (1- alpha ij).G(micro2ij, L), wherein: alpha is a mixture coefficient with two laws G; L is a positive number which is chosen according to the number of views; mu 1 and mu 2 denote the parameters to be elaborated; G denotes the gamma function which represents, for different values of mu , zones of different natures of the image. Said modelling method can be used, in particular, for classification and noise reduction purposes. |
