The fuel injection valve (1) has a magnetic coil (10) and a cooperating armature (20) for axial movement of a spring-biased valve needle (3), provided with a valve closure (4) cooperating with a valve seat (5), an inner pole (13) and an outer pole (9) providing a magnetic circuit together with the magnetic coil and a central fuel feed (16). A sleeve (21) is inserted in the central fuel feed, to provide a fuel flow path with a length and diameter such that the characteristic oscillation frequency of the supplied fuel is matched to the closure intervals of the fuel injection valve.
