PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a homogeneous solid catalyst component or a homogeneous solid catalyst capable of providing an addition polymer excellent in configuration and grain properties when the single site catalyst is applied to polymerization (slurry polymerization, vapor phase polymerization, bulk polymerization, etc.), accompanying addition polymer grain formation, and to provide a method for manufacturing an addition polymer excellent in configuration and grain properties when a single site catalyst is applied to polymerization (slurry polymerization, vapor phase polymerization, bulk polymerization, etc.), accompanying addition polymer grain formation. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a homogeneous solid catalyst component or a homogeneous solid catalyst contains a process of removing pulverized components and/or indeterminate form components by utilizing the difference in settling velocity relative to the solvent; the homogenous solid catalyst component or a homogeneous solid catalyst manufactured by the method are provide; the method for manufacturing an addition polymer using the homogeneous solid catalyst component or a homogeneous solid catalyst is provided.
