PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-fogging material excellent in the lasting property of an anti-fogging function and having damage resistance. SOLUTION: The anti-fogging material constituted by forming a film is formed by curing a first composition based on a water absorbable polymer, on the surface of a substrate and providing a film formed by curing a second composition based on a hydrophilic inorganic oxide, the thickness of the film formed by curing the first composition is 50-1,000 nm, and the thickness of the film formed by curing the second composition is preferable set to 100-1,000 nm. A polyvalent carboxylic acid is preferably added to the film formed by curing the second composition.
