PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pasty (gel) detergent that is neutral with no use of alkali agent and organic acid, can stay on the inclined or vertical surfaces to be cleaned without sagging, even when it is applied on the stained places and can attain effective cleaning with a reduced amount of the cleaner. SOLUTION: The gel cleaner comprises 40-80 wt.% of low-molecular hydrocarbon including limonene, 5-25 wt.% of polyhydric alcohol bearing 3 or more hydroxy groups, 5-20 wt.% of surfactant and 1-20 wt.% of water.
