PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label winding manufacturing method allowing the enlargement of a winding quantity without causing winding collapse. SOLUTION: A band label 12 is formed by pasting certainly spaced label base material 12B to a band release material 12A in the state of margins M being formed on both sides in the cross direction thereof. The band label 12 is wound on a paper jointing tube 11 while being displaced traversing to the axial direction of the paper jointing tube 11. The displacement is determined such that the margin M which is located on the lower side of one release material 12A neighboring the other and/or a rate at which the release material 12A is overlapped with the label base materials 12B is within a range of 60% or less.
