<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a drying speed and to utilize an irradiation technique at a proper cost when a paper sheet is fed using a feed belt. SOLUTION: In this drying station for drying the paper sheet 2 fed by a feed belt 1 and printed by an irradiator 3, direction changeover rollers 4,5 and 6 keeping away the feed belt 1 from the irradiator 3 and the shield device 7 arranged between the feed belt 1 and the irradiator 3 and shielding the feed belt 1 with respect to the irradiation of the irradiator 3 without shielding the paper sheet 2 are provided to the region of the irradiator 3. The paper sheet 2 is separated from the feed belt 1 in front of the irradiator 3 to be guided on other route different from the feed belt 1 through the irradiator 3. At this time, the feed belt 1 is not irradiated and only the paper sheet 2 is irradiated.</p> |
