PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a refrigerator with an ultraviolet lamp and a photo-deodorizing filter for performing the sterilization and deodorization. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises the lamp for irradiating ultraviolet rays to a cold air duct and irradiating visible light inside the refrigerator, the photocatalyst filter mounted inside the duct for receiving the ultraviolet rays, a fan for forming an air curtain when a door of a refrigerator compartment is opened, a control device for lighting the lamp when the door of the refrigerator compartment is opened, and a lamp lighting condition display means for displaying the lighting condition of the lamp to the outside of the refrigerator.
