DISPOSAL CONTAINER, DISPOSAL FACILITY AND DISPOSAL METHOD FOR RADIOACTIVE WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity and speed of a radioactive substance reaching the ground surface out of radioactive substances dissolving into underground water from radioactive waste housed in a disposal container due to deterioration of the disposal container buried in an underground disposal facility for the radioactive waste. SOLUTION: By adding a photocatalyst or an oxidizer to all or a part of components 13 surrounding a periphery of the disposal containers 2 in the disposal facility 1 for burying the disposal containers, or filler filling gaps between disposal containers 2 housing the radioactive waste, and decomposing organic radioactive substances of the radioactive substances dissolving into underground water from the radioactive waste due to corrosion of the disposal container 2, adsorbing performance to cement or the like is enhanced.
