PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust from adhering to a transparent resin guide member provided in an optical fixer. SOLUTION: Following to thermal recording operation, a color thermal recording sheet 11 passes through a carrying passage 32 formed between a base guide 30 and a cover guide 31. The cover guide 31 is made of transparent resin and UV-rays irradiated from UV-lamps 23 and 24 pass through the cover guide 31 and fix an image recorded on the color thermal recording sheet 11. The cover guide 31 is fixed to a supporting arm 34 turning about a rotary shaft 33. During print operation, the cover guide 31 is set at a carriage guide position forming the carrying passage 32. At the time of nonuse, the cover guide 31 is turned clockwise and contained in a case 38.
