PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bookmaking system utilizing a network in which management of bookmaking can be conducted appropriately on the outside of a server. SOLUTION: The bookmaking system comprises an imaging apparatus for forming an image on a sheet based on book content data transmitted from a server for holding the book content data through a network, and a bookmaking apparatus wherein the imaging apparatus is a composite machine capable of operating in bookmaking mode and other modes. Upon receiving a request for interruption processing concerning to a processing function being provided in other mode during operation in the bookmaking mode, operation in the bookmaking mode is performed preferentially to the operation with the processing function by suspending the interruption processing. The interruption processing can be carried out after imaging of a copy of book is ended. Management of bookmaking can be conducted appropriately by preventing inappropriate processing on the outside of the server. |
