PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device that can suppress the diffusion of liquid crystal material to an edge part located outside the seal member of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device configured by adhering two substrates 1 with a seal member 2 and filling a liquid crystal material between them, as a means of suppressing the intrusion of the liquid crystal material to the edge part 3 located outside the seal member 2 in the liquid crystal display device; a branch seal member (c) placed from a cross point of the seal members in horizontal and vertical directions with respect to the seal members at a liquid crystal filling port (a) up to a panel edge in the horizontal direction of the seal member at the liquid crystal filling port (a), a branch seal member (c) placed from the cross point to the end at the panel edge in an oblique direction, or a branch seal member (c) placed from the cross point up to the panel edge in the vertical direction with respect to the seal member at the liquid crystal filling port (a), is provided.
