PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of prolonging the life of a corona wire by enhancing the ability to clean the corona wire. SOLUTION: The image forming device has a cleaning member that cleans a corona wire in such a manner that a wire cleaning member mounted in contact with the corona wire of a corona electrifying device is alternately moved forward and backward in the direction where the corona wire is stretched. In the image forming device, the cleaning member is turned through an angle of arbitrary number of degrees when the movement of the cleaning member is changed from the forward direction to the backward direction and/or from the backward direction to the forward direction. Thereby, the contact portion of the cleaning member with the corona wire is switched between the forward direction and the backward direction.
