PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a manager to easily know abnormalities of a printer and to enable a user to obtain seal sheets having the same images as edited images printed thereon. SOLUTION: A CPU of an image printer detects at a step S64 whether or not ink for special printing such as gold color ink is present. When the ink is not present, at a step S71, the CPU makes a special color item non displayed and displays an image edition screen in which the user is prevented from selecting the color. After an edition work finishes, the CPU prints edited images to the seal sheet by normal printing at a step S75. The printed seal sheet is discharged without being subjected to special printing for which no amount of ink to be used is left.
