PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer making work-up reduction and printing durability be compatible with each other without damaging an image forming property, further making a developer insoluble compound dissolve or be dispersed and stabilized for a long period of time therein and having an improved defoaming property and further to provide a method for making up a planographic printing plate from a photppolymerizable photosensitive planographic printing plate with the developer of this kind. SOLUTION: In the method for making up the planographic printing plate, the photosensitive planographic printing plate with a photopolymerizable photosensitive layer containing a monomer containing an ethylenic unsaturated bond, a photopolymerization initiator, a sensitizer and a polymer binder is exposed imagewise to a laser beam and subsequently developed with the developer containing an alkali silicate with 0.75-4.0 SiO2 /M2 O molar ratio (M represents an alkali metal or an ammonium group), a surfactant and a defoamer and having 12.0-12.8 pH and 3-40 mS/cm conductivity. The developer for the photopolymerizable photosensitive planographic printing plate contains an alkali silicate with 0.75-4.0 SiO2 /M2 O molar ratio (M represents an alkali metal or an ammonium group), a surfactant and a defoamer and having 12.0-12.8 pH and 3-40 mS/cm conductivity. |
