PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer head with an Al alloy electrode having high performance and high reliability (superior in void resistance, hillock resistance and corrosion resistance) as compared to an Al series electrode heretofore used as an electrode (an individual electrode or a common electrode) of the thermal printer head. SOLUTION: (1) This thermal printer head has a substrate, a plurality of heating resistors provided on the substrate, and electrodes connected to the heating resistors. Each of the electrodes consists of the Al alloy including one or more of Nd, Gd, and Dy at a rate of from 1.0 at.% to 6.0 at.%. (2) The electrode consists of the Al alloy including a predetermined amount of Y and a metal element of the group IVa. (3) The electrode consists of the Al alloy including a predetermined amount of Y and Ni.
