PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor of a high resolution, a high sensitivity and high image quality, and an electrophotographic device using it. SOLUTION: For the electrophotographic photoreceptor, a photosensitive layer contains (1) a crystalline phthalocyanine composition having peaks at 7.0 deg., 7.6 deg., 9.0 deg., 9.3 deg., 17.0 deg., 24.2 deg. and 27.2 deg., (2) a composition of crystalline titanyl phthalocyanine and metal-free phthalocyanine having the main peaks at 7.0 deg., 9.0 deg., 14.1 deg., 18.0 deg., 23.7 deg. and 27.2 deg., or (3)τtype metal-free phthalocyanine having the main peaks at 7.6 deg., 9.3 deg., 17.0 deg., 17.6 deg., 20.6 deg. and 24.2 deg. at least at a Bragg angle (2θ±0.2 deg.) in an X-ray diffraction spectrum to a CUKαcharacteristic X ray (wavelength: 1.54Å).
