PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and economically excellent opening reinforcing structure being easy to mount, reducing the loss of materials, and imparting a dynamical configuration close to a steel beam without an opening. SOLUTION: In the opening reinforcing structure for the steel beam 1 having flanges 3 above and below a web 2 provided with an opening 4, a rectangular steel pipe 5 serving as a reinforcing fitting is anchored to the surface of the web 2 to surround the contour of the opening 4, with four sides of the rectangular steel pipe diagonally crossing the material axis of the steel beam 1 at approximately 45 degrees. A shearing force component Q0 lost by the opening 4 is transmitted by a diagonal axial force P0 produced in the reinforcing fitting 5.
