PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning top toy system which achieves a new developent in playing with tops by varying action patterns without making players directly or indirectly work on a top toy spinning. SOLUTION: In the top toy system which makes the top toy 1 spin using a shooter 2 on a playing stage 3, the body 60 of the shooter has a spin application mechanism A which applies a spinning force to the top toy 1 being linked to the operation of pulling a rack belt 62 and a lock mechanism B for locking the spin application mechanism A when the rack belt 62 is pulled off. The top toy 1 is provided with a linkage part 35 which makes it link to the spin application mechanism A and caused to spin in linkage with the operation of the spin application mechanism A. It is also provided separately with varying means 25 and 82 which are isolated from the body 60 of the shooter with the spin application mechanism A locked while varying action patterns of the top toy 1 interacting the top toy 1 and the playing stage 3.
