PURPOSE: A composition containing an extract of buckwheat, buckwheat husk and a mixture thereof as an active ingredient is provided which has a suppression effect on inflammation generated by endotoxin and outer inflammation-inducing material. CONSTITUTION: The composition having antiinflammatory activity is prepared by extracting buckwheat, buckwheat husk and a mixture thereof in a solvent including water, ethanol, acetone or methanol and then subjecting to chromatography using 40 to 80% ethanol aqueous solution to obtain fractions having antiinflammatory activity.
