PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody which is specific to a protein inducing production of IFN-γin an immunocompetent cell and a hybridoma capable of producing the monoclonal antibody and use thereof. SOLUTION: The monoclonal antibody which is specific to the protein having specific physicochemical properties, the hybridoma capable of producing the monoclonal antibody, a method for producing the monoclonal antibody comprising a step for culturing the monoclonal antibody in vivo or in vitro and a step for collecting the monoclonal antibody from the cultured product or the body fluid thereof, a method for purifying the protein comprising a step for absorbing the protein into the monoclonal antibody by bringing the monoclonal antibody into contact with a mixture containing the protein and foreign materials and a step for desorbing the absorbed protein from the monoclonal antibody and a method for detecting the protein comprising bringing the monoclonal antibody into contact with a sample to be examined and detecting the protein by immune reaction are provided.
